Healthy Entrée Recipes

At every dinner party the entrée is the main event. So you want to make sure you deliver a great dining experience. Using one of AICR’s entrée recipes will ensure your guests will be talking about their dining experience for days to come.

An entrée is often considered to be the main course of a meal. However, in Europe and parts of Canada entrées are a small, light meal enjoyed before the main course as an appetizer. Their purpose being to whet the appetite of diners, if you’re interested in starters you can check out our collection of appetizer recipes. However, if you’re looking for the best meal to put on the table tonight, we have a range of main course meals for you to browse and select from.

When we develop our entrées we always make sure to consider the New American Plate model. To achieve this the amount of meal, or animal-based products, is balanced out with more plant-based and whole grain ingredients.

In our selection we offer both meat and vegetarian entrées, with the aim to cater to various dietary needs.

All of our entrées recipes have been specially crafted to support cancer prevention and survival, in line with the AICR cancer prevention recommendations.

These guidelines include aspects such as limiting the amount of fats, starches and sugars, while being mindful of your current diet. If you find a recipe you’d like to try, but you’re concerned it may be a bit too different from your current diet, or you’re not sure about the ingredients which are used, we recommend consulting a health professional.

Most of our recipes contain many of these healthy ingredients which have been linked to cancer prevention, and are an essential part of a balanced diet.

You can still eat a filling, nutritious entrée, with all of the essential ingredients you need, while keeping your calories low!
