Role of the Bad Protein in Mediating Tumor Suppressive Effect of Omega-3 PUFAs

Project Description

This study examined whether the prostate cancer development by omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids is mediated in part through Bad-dependent apoptosis. Bad is a protein that leads to tumour cell death. The role of Bad is not as clear, and it is likely that new mechanistic information of relevance to prostate cancer growth and progression was obtained from these studies.
