Do Components of a Chinese Diet (Genistein, Green Tea, and Phytate) Inhibit Prostate Cancer?

Project Description

Dr. Pretlow investigated whether components of the Chinese diet, genistein present in soy and green tea, and phytate present in rice, prevent the promotion and progression of the initiated prostate cells. These studies aimed to clarify the role of dietary components in the prevention of latent, early prostate cancer from developing into a clinically significant disease.
