Dietary Folate Manipulation: Impact on Prostate Tumor Biology, Genetics and Epigenetics

Project Description

This study examined how folate status in mammals affects epigenetic events that drive tumorigenesis in prostate epithelium. It aimed to determine if supplementation of folate slows the progression of prostate cancer from a harmless overgrowth to a lethally aggressive cancer, and if folate depletion increases the DNA damage.
