Diet in Adolescence and the Risk of Breast Cancer

Project Description

Dr. Lumey investigated the effect of energy and/or fat restriction during adolescence and puberty and the subsequent breast cancer rates in women who experienced these restrictions compared to women who had not. The project provided an opportunity to compare the long-term effects of energy restriction in humans and its effects on cancer risk and longevity.
