Role of Retinoid Receptors in Mediating the Response to 1,25 (OH)2D3 of Normal and Transformed Keratinocytes

Project Description

Dr. Bikle tested whether retinoic acid (RA), selective RA receptor agonists and retinoid X receptor agonists alter proliferation and differentiation, as regulated by 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D in normal and transformed keratinocytes from epidermis, and the interactions of these components in regulating gene expression.
