Maternal High-Fat Diet and Breast Cancer Risk Among Offspring

Project Description

Dr. Hilakivi-Clarke investigated whether a high fat diet during pregnancy, which leads to elevated serum estradiol levels, can increase breast cancer risk in the female offspring, presumably through changes in estrogen receptor levels and/or function and eicosand metabolism in the mammary gland.
