Healthful dietary patterns, intermediate biomarkers and long-term breast cancer prognosis

Research Type: Breast Cancer

Project Description

Breast cancer is the most common non-skin cancer among women, and diet may influence breast cancer prognosis. However, more research is needed to strengthen nutrition guidelines for breast cancer survivors. Dr. Feliciano’s team will use data, blood samples and medical records from breast cancer patients to determine whether following a healthful dietary pattern, after a breast cancer diagnosis, influences body composition, inflammation and risk of breast cancer recurrence.
