Project Description:

Dr. Romieu studied the association between increased consumption of alcohol and fat, through meat and dairy products, with the increased risk for breast cancer in Mexican women. She also examined the effects of a high consumption of vitamins A, C, and E decreasing breast cancer risk. Dr. Romieu sought to identify avoidable risk factors and determine protective effects of various foods and nutrients.
