Project Description: Dr. Vucenik is examining the action of inositol hexaphosphate or phytic acid from cereal products, as an inhibitor of the growth of new blood vessels in tumor cells, presumably through reduction of growth enhancing factors, such as vascular endothelial growth factor and fibroblast growth factor.
