Reduce Your Cancer Risk: Weight

SUBTRACT passive behaviors from your day. Eat mindfully, and watch less TV

Our everyday habits are formed when we’re very young, and they don’t change unless we expend a good deal of effort. But obesity rates continue to rise, which means that we’ll likely see a surge in cancer rates ten or twenty years from now. Clearly, if we’re to head that off, real change is needed today.

We’ve become too passive, too heedless of how the choices we make about food and activity are influenced by various economic, physical and social factors.

We need to take a good look at what and how much we’re routinely eating. We also need to avoid falling into habits that encourage long stretches of inactivity.

Here’s some information that will help you eat mindfully and live actively.
