Evidence shows that eating more vegetables and fruits probably protects against cancer of the mouth, pharynx, larynx, esophagus and stomach. Fruits probably protect against lung cancer as well and some fruits – like watermelon – have high amounts of lycopene, a shield against prostate cancer.
