Hello,
Happy holidays and thank you for visiting my website!
My name is Sabrina Simpson. I am 15
years old and I am a 10th grader at Durham Academy in Durham, North Carolina. This
will be my 10th Annual Challenge to raise money for charity. In the past, I always ran a long distance
challenge in order to raise money for some kind of Cancer Research.
This year, I decided to challenge myself with something a little different ...a triathlon, a 100+ hours of volunteer work at Carol Wood Retirement Home and Marbles Kids Museum over my summer break, my birthday donation instead of gifts, and a 10K race in Washington DC for Women Cancer on November 6th! As in past years, I would like to bring awareness to cancer, the killing disease that has affected so many people in our lives. I have lost my grand-father, and my aunt Lydia to cancer. Now, I have friends, young and old who are fighting this disease which attacks different organs in different people. This is why I am so passionate about raising money for Cancer Research! I would like to ask for your help in reaching my goal for 2011 of raising $2000 for the scientists to do research and find a cure for this awful disease. Your support in fighting cancer is very much needed. Please help by donating to the American Institute for Cancer Research through my website: www.aicr.org/ssimpson
I completed my first triathlon on May 22 - the Ramblin' Rose
Raleigh Triathlon. In addition, I also
completed 111 hours of volunteer over my summer break. Instead of a birthday party or gifts, in
September, I asked my parents to donate to my website. I still have a bit to go to reach my $2000
goal for AICR. However, with your
support and some hard work, I know I can do it.
Please consider helping me reach my goal by donating to this very worthy cause! We all know some one's life whose has been affected by this horrible disease!
With much gratitude,
Sabrina
