Dr. Chung investigated whether the reduction in genotoxicity of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons by caloric restriction might be due to a decrease in DNA adduct formation or an increase in adduct removal from the liver of carcinogen-treated mice. This was a collaborative study supported by AICR and the Food and Drug Administration�s National Center for Toxicological Research.
