In this intervention study, Dr. Thompson investigated the effect of dietary flaxseed (baked in a muffin) in postmenopausal women with breast cancer, and evaluated levels of plasma sex hormones, urinary lignan excretion and tumor growth as markers of any influence flaxseed may have to inhibit breast cancer.
