Project Description:

Dr. Djuric examined the effects of caloric restriction and fat intake on the DNA of cells. Animals were fed differing levels of fat calories and their DNA damage to both the tissue and the blood was analyzed to correlate changes in the mammary gland and future risk of breast cancer. This was a collaborative study supported by AICR and the Food and Drug Administration�s National Center for Toxicological Research.
