Dr. Redlich investigated whether chemopreventive therapy with vitamin A might reduce both bronchial metaplasia and lung inflammation and prevent lung cancer in high risk populations. Mechanistic studies included investigating the effect of retinol and beta-carotene on cytokine biomarkers.
