Dr. Clark investigated the feasibility of using salt fortified with selenium to improve the selenium status of a population at high risk of cancer in the People�s Republic of China. He and his Chinese colleagues conducted a pilot study to demonstrate the safety and feasibility of using a high-selenium brewers yeast in a population of Hepatitis B carriers who were at an extremely high risk of primary liver cancer.
