Project Description:

This animal study is investigating the capability for the natural isoflavones contained in soybeans to protect normal lung against radiation injury, while at the same time enhancing the effect of the radiotherapy against tumor cells. Dr. Hillman will conduct first cell then animal studies to determine the most effective combinations of radiation and soy isoflavones to improve lung cancer treatment.
