This study is using the most recently available national survey nutrition data to determine whether total dietary energy density, and the consumption frequency and amount of high-energy-dense foods contribute to body weight, body fatness, insulin sensitivity (related to diabetes type 2) and inflammation (measured in blood), which are all related to cancer risk.
