Project Description:

This multi-center clinical trial is determining the effectiveness of the neutropenic diet versus a liberalized diet in reducing infection rate among children with cancer and to identify the effects of the diets on the children�s health related quality of life and nutritional status. The goal of the study is to develop dietary guidelines for children with cancer that promote health related quality of life, attenuate treatment toxicity, and improve overall survival.
