Project Description:

This laboratory study is testing if the allium sulfur compounds cysteine and glutathione are the dietary factors derived from allium vegetables that play a role in cancer risk reduction. Cell experiments will determine the effect the compounds have on elevating cellular defenses to oxidative stress and inflammation.
