Project Description:

Obesity is a risk factor for postmenopausal breast cancer. This study examined the role reduced caloric intake may play in reducing breast cancer risk. Studies have shown that periods of intermittent caloric restriction may provide protection from tumor development. The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between lipid peroxidation and intermittent caloric restriction as compared to ad libitum feeding or chronic caloric restriction.
