In Brief: A Nation of Snackers
America is becoming a nation of snackers, now snacking our way through half of all eating occasions, according to the summary of a new report released last month.
The Hartman Group report found that 80 percent of our snacking happens at home, suggesting a blurring of the line between meal and snacking.
The report also found that almost half of the time, Americans are eating alone. That's not necessarily a bad thing, with 43 percent of people who eat alone finding it enjoyable, using the occasion to catch up on on other activities.
